The major difficulty with regard to propylthiouracil of methimazole treatment of hyperthyroidism in pregnancy is the possibility of fetal goitor with the implications of hypothyroidism or congenital anomaiies. It is not clear whether there is a
real
increase in congenital anomalies in thyrotoxic pregnancies treated with thiourea drug.
We experienced a case of the hyperthyroidism of antenatal use to the propylthiouracil associated with multiple syndactyly and report with a brief of literature.
